Record pass percentage in Kerala HSS exams
The pass percentage in higher secondary examinations in Kerala has touched an all-time high of 82.25 % this year and vocational higher secondary examinations 78.15 %.
The pass percentage in part I and part II of higher secondary examinations stood at 90 %. Those who secured a pass in part I and part II of vocational higher secondary examinations will be given trade certificate. For higher secondary examinations, the pass percentage of girl students is 87.02 % and 76.61 % for boys. Â Vocational higher secondary examinations, the pass percentage of girls are 86.05 % and boys 78.15 %.
In higher secondary examinations, 52 schools registered 100 % pass while nine government schools and one aided school secured 100 % pass in the vocational higher secondary examinations. The number of students who secured A+ in all subjects for higher secondary examinations is 2,795. Only one student, P V Amala Mery Shyjy of Adimali SNDP VHSS, got A+ in all subjects in the vocational higher secondary examinations. For the first time, the marks of higher secondary examinations will be counted for admissions to engineering courses this year, along with the marks in entrance examinations.
As a result, Re-Valuation was held for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics since, the marks of which will be counted for engineering admissions. In case there is a difference of more than 10 % in the marks during the first and second valuations, the paper will be subjected to a third valuation.
