The Pre-medical Test (PMT), held on May 11 for admission in Chhattisgarh’s medical colleges, has been cancelled, officials said today. After the students raised an alarm, the news broke on a local TV channel. The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board, the government body that holds medical and engineering exams, cancelled Wednesday’s entrance test, rescheduling a fresh test in June.
The Pre-medical Test (PMT) has been canceled as its questions matched with those asked in recent Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (PSC) exam papers, a Chhattisgarh Professional Education Board official said. Some Pre-medical Test (PMT) questions were lifted straight out of the PSC papers and their answers are available on the Internet, the Board’s Examination Controller, B P Tripathi, told PTI. Around 20,000 students had appeared in the Pre-medical Test (PMT) for this year.
