Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) University in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, has issued notification announcing the date for Master of Hospital Administration (MHA) Entrance Examination- 2011. The MHA Entrance Exam is a test conducted by HIHT University to select eligible candidates for admission into the MHA programme offered in the ensuing session 2011.

The HIHT University established under the aegis of the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust, is founded by H.H. Dr. Swami Rama, who was a great yogi, scientist, philosopher, philanthropist, researcher and writer. Spread over 200 acres of land, the campus is situated in the picturesque surroundings of foothills of Himalayas in Garhwal region. It offers graduate and post graduate courses in medical and paramedical fields under the guidance of a proficient faculty committed to academic and professional excellence. The University is situated in the foothills of the Himalayas on the Dehradun – Rishikesh Highway, 25 kms from Dehradun and 18 kms from Rishikesh. The Institute presently has a multi-specialty Hospital along with residences for Doctors and Staff.

Eligibility

  • Graduate with Diploma in Hospital Administration (Non-Medical Graduate) OR
  • MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/Any Medical Graduate degree/B.Sc Nursing/ BPT/ BMLT/ B.Pharma recognized by Government of India OR
  • (iii)Masters Degree in any discipline recognized by UGC with a minimum of at least three years administrative/allied experience in a healthcare organization.

Selection Criterion

The selection will be made on the basis of merit in the MHAEE-2011

How to Apply

Interested candidates can download the application form from University’s official website: www.hihtuniversity.org. The application fee is Rs. 2000 which is to be paid in the form of Demand Draft. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of HIHT University payable at State Bank of India, Jolly Grant (Branch code No- 10580), Dehradun. Duly filled and completed application form along with the DD and enclosure documents (list given on the website mentioned) should be sent to the Controller of Examinations, HIHT University, Swami Ram Nagar, Doiwala, Dehradun 248140 (Uttarakhand) latest by June 30, 2011 through speed post/registered post or deposited by hand at the office of the Controller of Examinations. For more details about admission, eligibility criteria and application procedure, candidates are requested to visit the aforementioned website.

Note: The candidate should fill in the application form in his/her own handwriting (in capital letters) clearly and legibly. Incomplete application form will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained by the University in this regard.

It will be the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the correct address is filled in the Application Forms. The University shall not be responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the Application Form.

NOTE: Candidates are strongly advised not to approach any individual or agency for admission. This University has no branches and no individual/agency is authorized to act on its behalf. Admission to Master in Hospital Administration (MHA) Course is solely based on the merit list of Master in Hospital Administration Entrance Examination – 2011 (MHAEE-2011) conducted by the University.

Merit List

Candidates securing less than 50 % marks (40 % in case of OBC/SC/ST candidates) in the entrance examination will not be considered for admission and their names will not be included in the merit list.

In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks at the MHAEE-2011 (i.e. in case of a tie) the following procedure shall be adopted for preparing the merit list:

First Level: The candidate having more marks in the final professional MBBS examination shall get priority. If the tie still persists then

Second Level: The candidate having higher aggregate percentage marks in all the professional MBBS examination shall get priority. If the tie still persists then

Third Level: Candidate who is older in age shall get priority.
