Girls once again outshone boys in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 examinations, in seven regions across the country. The pass percentage of girls was 86.93%, compared to 77.83% for boys. The overall pass percentage registered an increase of 1.84% over 2010 and stand at 81.71%.
Chennai topped the list of overall pass percentage with 91.32%, followed by Ajmer with 85.5%. Delhi stood third with a pass percentage of 85.45%. The number of candidates who appeared this year was 7,70,043, 9.85% more than last year.
