Only students from remote areas who have no access to internet may send their request for application form along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs 20/-) envelope (size 25cmx17cm) super scribed GS-2011 (subjects). All others to submit online applications only

Application fee: Rs 500/- for applications submitted online & Rs. 550/- for applications sent manually by post. Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Payment can be made by DD drawn on State bank of India

For Biology: DD to be drawn in favour of National Centre for Biological Sciences, payable at Bengaluru

For all other subjects: DD to be drawn in favour of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, payable at Mumbai

Hall ticket will be issued only after receipt of application fee. A waiver of application fee on grounds of financial distress may be requested by a letter from the Principal or the Head of the Department justifying the request. Students may apply online and send the waiver letter/request from the Principal/HOD (on their letter head duly signed and stamped) by post with a covering letter mentioning the reference code. Manual applicants may send the waiver letter along with the filled-in application form. These requests would be considered depending on availability of seats in each centre and cannot be guaranteed

Candidates may appear for the written test in multiple subjects if the timings do not clash. Please send/submit separate application (including DD) for each subject

Admission procedure:

The admissions procedure (in all subjects except Science Education) consist of a written test at one of the several nationwide centers

Entrance examination for AIIMS-PG/Post Doctoral Courses

Applications are invited (on-line/off line) for admission to AIIMS-PG (MD/MS/M.Ch (6 years)/MDS/MHA)/ Post Doctoral (DM/M.Ch. course as well as Ph.D programme for January 2011

The prospectus is available on the website www.aiimsexams.org and must be read by the applicants before applying. The cost of application with examination fee is Rs 1000/- (Rs 800/- in case of SC/ST candidates)

Application procedure

On-line application: A candidate can submit application on-line by visiting www.aiimsexams.org read the prospectus and other details carefully and follow the instructions given therein. The candidate can pay the application fee in any branch of State Bank of India.

Offline application: Prospectus with application form can also be obtained by post by sending a crossed bank draft for Rs 1050/- for General/OBC and Rs 850/- for SC/ST, drawn in favour of the accounts officer (Exams), AIIMS-PG-January-2011

The bank draft should be payable at New Delhi and should be valid for six months (up to Feb/March, 2011)

The request should reach the Assistant Controller of Examination, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110608 on or before 30th September, 2010

A combined examination for recruitment to the medical services will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. For details regarding eligibility syllabus, guidelines for filling up the application form etc candidate can refer the employment news dated 11 Sep 2010.

Conditions of ELIGIBILITY:

Age Limit:

The candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1979

NOTE: Up to a maximum of five years in the case of Ex-servicemen and Up to a maximum of ten years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped candidates

Educational Qualification:

A candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of final MBBS examination.

* A candidate who has yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is educationally eligible for admission to the examination but on selection he will be appointed only after he has completed the compulsory rotating internship.

Physical and Medical Standards: Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to the physical/medical standards for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2011 as per regulations contained in Appendix III to the Rules of the Examination.

FEE PAYABLE

SCREENING TEST

The Commission may, at its discretion, decide to hold a screening test for any of the categories where it is felt necessary, before Interview/Proficiency test, keeping in view specific requirements for post as per the provisions of RRs. Only such of the candidates who qualify in the screening test at the standard fixed by the Commission, at its discretion, would be eligible for being called for Interview/Proficiency test.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications separately for different categories of posts must be submitted in the form published along with the advertisement in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar of 25th September, 2010. Candidates may use a photocopy of the form published in the Employment News but should not use Employment News /Rozgar Samachar cuttings as Application forms. The applications may be typed out in double space or Computer printed or written in hand neatly, but format should be the same as published.

Note: Applications submitted on a format which is not exactly the same, as published in this Advertisement, are liable to be rejected summarily.

XAT Registration 2011

  • In order to register for XAT, the candidate has to visit the site www.xlri.net.in and click “XAT Registration”. Where in candidate has to fill the online XAT form which includes personal details and payment option details.
  • After successful submission of the personal details and payment mode, the candidate will immediately get his/her XAT ID and password (which is automatically generated by the system) by email. The ID and password needs to be retained by the candidate for downloading XAT Admit card and other transactions.
  • The candidate logs in to XAT registration in order to complete his/ her education details.
  • The candidate has to then select the names of XAT Associate Institutes.
  • The candidate has to download and print the XAT pay-in-slip which includes the date of registration, name of the Axis Bank branch, XAT Pay-in-slip No, XAT ID, name of the candidate, address and phone number printed on it. The candidate has to take this printed XAT Pay-in-slip to the Axis Bank branch to buy the XAT Bulletin.
  • On paying Rs 900.00 (cost of XAT Bulletin) along with the printed pay-in-slip, the bank will issue a XAT Bulletin 2011 and enter the XAT Bulletin number, date of purchase and Bank Tran ID and put a bank seal on each part of the pay-in-slip.
  • The candidate has to fill-in the detachable form given in the XAT Bulletin. All entries are to be filled-in correctly and should be same as that filled in the online form. Candidate has to paste securely his/her passport size colour photograph and put candidate signature in the space provided.
  • The candidate has to then attach the XLRI’s copy of the pay-in-slip in the space provided on the form. The candidate’s copy of the pay-in-slip is to be carefully retained by the candidate for future reference, if any.
  • The candidate has to then carefully detach the form from the XAT Bulletin and send it to XAT Office, Jamshedpur through courier/ registered post/speed post in the special envelope given inside the XAT Bulletin. This form along with the pay-in-slip should reach the XAT Office within seven days from the date of purchase of XAT Bulletin.
  • Admit Card, will be available any time between 18 Dec 2010 and 31 Dec 2010 and take a print out of the same where the address of the test centre will be mentioned.

Note: The candidate has the option to make an online payment using the Axis Bank payment gateway. They can use a credit card/debit card or make use the net banking facility by paying an amount of Rs. 950/- (excluding service charges and taxes). Please note that American Express cards cannot be used to make the online payment. After successful transaction, candidate will be redirected to the confirmation page where transaction details are displayed. This has to be saved and a copy of the same printed.XAT office will send the XAT Bulletin 2011 after receiving the XAT PP Form and online payment receipt of Rs. 950/-. Candidates are not required to send the detachable form given with the bulletin.
