Nagpur University to hold Ph.D entrance examination in Marathi
Applications are invited for the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) from the aspiring eligible candidates who want to pursue Ph.D. programme in Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur.
Nagpur University would be conducting its PhD entrance test (PET) PET examination will be conducted in Marathi and English Languages from December 27 to 29.
Nagpur University had earlier conducted its first PET from July 7 to 10, but many students raised a demand to conduct it in Marathi as they encountered difficulties with English language. Around 35 candidates had opted to appear in the Marathi version of PET during that time.
The last date of receipt of online application is 10th December, 2011. The online application forms and the relevant details are available on the link provided on the Website http://oasis.mkcl.org/nupet from 1st December, 2011.
In the last PET, Around 3100 candidates had registered for the exam out of which 2919 actually appeared. Among them 934 aspirants managed to clear PET.
Last date for submitting application form manually is December 15 till 3pm and admit cards would be displayed on the Nagpur University website on December 17 at 6pm.
The university has issued certain guidelines for aspirants. Before filling online application form, they should be set with a DD of Rs.800 for open category and Rs.600 for reserved category in favour of ‘Registrar, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University’.
After registration, individual login ids and passwords of the candidates would be generated from which they will get their form number for future correspondence. They can, then, fill up the complete online application form.
