The M.Ed. Programme designed and developed jointly by the Distance Education Council (DEC), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) is a two year programme offered through open and distance learning (ODL) system
- B.Ed Degree from recognised University with at least 55% marks
- Two year of teaching/ professional experience after completion of B.Ed programme in a government/ government recognised school/ NCTE recognised education/ research institution
Cost of Prospectus: Rs. 200 (Rs. 250 by post)

The Programme fee is Rs. 36000 for the entire programme of two years. The total fee is to be paid at the time of admission.

IGNOU announces admission for online programme – Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Staff Training and Research Institute of Distance Education (STRIDE) announces admission to its online Post Graduate Diploma in E-Learning (PGDEL) for January 2012 session.
The last date of submission of forms is November 30, 2011.
The duration of the programme is minimum one year and maximum two years with 50 seats.
Eligibility: Graduation in any discipline is eligible to apply for the programme. Preference shall be given to higher degree holders.
The teaching will be done by using Open Educational Resources (OER’s) and Moodle Learning Management system along with some recommended texts.
Interested students are required to go to PGDEL programme website at http://pgdel.ignouonline.ac.in/pgdel/home.html and apply online. After filling in the form online, the student is required to take a print out of the same and send it to the programme coordinator, PGDEL at STRIDE with relevant documents to Ms. G. Mythili, Analyst (Selection Grade), IGNOU, main campus, Maidan Garhi.
The online Post Graduate Diploma in E-Learning (PGDEL) aims at developing competencies in design, development, implementation and management of online programmes at all levels of education, including corporate training. This programme is meant for teachers, trainers, training managers, instructional designers and course developers in schools, colleges, universities and business and industry.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced admissions in Masters in Education (M.Ed.) programme through distance learning mode for January 2012 session. The sale of the prospectus has already started in all the regional centers and headquarters.

The eligibility for admission to the programme is Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed.) degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade on a five point scale from a recognised Indian or foreign university with two years teaching/ professional experience after completion of B.Ed. programme in a government recognised school/ NCTE recognised teacher education/ research institution.
The student handbook and prospectus is available on the payment of Rs.200 in cash or through post by sending in the DD of Rs.250 drawn in favour of IGNOU, payable in the city where the prospectus is required.
