ASSO-CET postponed to May 17

The Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges in Maharashtra has postponed its ASSO-CET to May 17 from the earlier announced date of May 1. According to the association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges, the exam was rescheduled after several requests made by parents and teachers since the date was clashing with AIEEE and AFMC entrance exams.

  • The ASSO-CET will be conducted on Tuesday, May 17, from 10am to 1pm
  • Results would be declared on or before June 15
  • The first selection list would be out on July 18
  • The final merit list would be declared on June 23 while
  • The cut-off dates for admissions to MBBS and BDS would be September 30

The exam pattern consists of objective type questions related to physics, chemistry and biology, primarily based on the state board syllabus of standard XII. There would be no negative marking. Nearly, 30,000 students are expected to appear in the exam from all over the state ASSO-CET Exam. The centres where ASSO-CET will be conducted include Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Akola, Amravati and Nagpur among others.

Over 7,000 seats in 136 colleges are up for grabs in various faculties through ASSO-CET including medical, dental, ayurvedic, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and nursing. The colleges and courses coming under the association are approved by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and Medical Council of India (MCI). Dental colleges are also approved by Dental Council of India and other health science colleges by the corresponding central councils.
