Applications are invited in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for the three years MCh Surgical Oncology Course at Regional Cancer Centre; Thiruvananthapuram the completed application forms along with the required documents are to reach the office of The Director on or before 4:00 pm on 16th of May 2011.

The Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram (RCC), now in its 30th year of services to the nation, is an autonomous institution sponsored jointly by Government of Kerala and Government of India. Handling over 1.80 lakh patients including over 13,000 new cancer cases annually (30 lakh patients visited in the last 15 years), RCC carries out innovative and pioneering work in cancer control, treatment, research and training. The centre has smooth, hassle-free patient management system where in every patient gets equal attention and standardized care. We have in-house facilities to ensure comprehensive care under one-roof. We also offer comprehensive support facilities for the patients, including travel, accommodation and rehabilitation.

PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION TO MCh SURGICAL ONCOLOGY COURSE 2011

Applications are invited for admission to the MCh Surgical Oncology Course 2011, at The Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.

Duration of the Course: Duration of the course shall be three years from the date of commencement of the course. The M.Ch. course is a full time residential course. Students will be provided stipend as per the Institutions norms.

Basic Academic Qualifications

  • M.B.B.S. Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India
  • Appropriate Post Graduate Degree (M.D/. M.S) recognized by the Medical Council of India OR appropriate DNB of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

How and when to apply for MCh Surgical Oncology Course 2011, at the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram

Application procedure

  • The application procedure is common for all candidates applying for the course. Candidates seeking admission to the course can download the prospectus and application form from the website “www.rcctvm.org”. Application fee is Rs. 1500/- for general candidates and Rs 750/- for SC/ST candidates.
  • The completed and signed application  form with all necessary enclosures should be mailed to The Director, Regional Cancer Centre, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 011 by Registered/ Speed Post only and should reach The Director, RCC, latest by 4 pm on 16th May 2011. The envelope containing the application should be superscripted “APPLICATION FOR M.Ch SURGICAL ONCOLOGY COURSE”.
  • Duly completed application must be accompanied with a Demand Draft payable at  State Bank of Travancore, Medical College Branch, Thiruvananthapuram for Rs. 1500/- (Rs.750/- for SC/ST) drawn in favour of  “Director, Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram”.  DD submitted is not refundable in any case

Entrance Examination

All candidates seeking admission for the MCh Surgical Oncology Courses will have to appear for the Entrance Examination. The Entrance Examination will be conducted in accordance with the Schedule fixed by the MCI and RCC, Thiruvananthapuram. Any change in date and time of the exam shall be intimated by e-mail.
